LotusMoon Designs NZ was started in 2008 by wife and husband team Rosemary and Terry Cox who had spent many years working and living as Kiwi expatriates in Singapore and Malaysia. The idea came after we returned to New Zealand, looking to start a new business which would benefit from the ‘Kiwi’ touch plus all of our experiences and contacts in Asia.

For both of us it was the love and appreciation of quality gemstones; on which Ro could grow her experience and good sense of the beauty and fashion business, and Terry his contacts and business skills. These led us in turn to finding suppliers of semi-precious gemstones among the best in the world and LotusMoon’s silver smiths who hand-craft 925 nickel-free sterling silver settings of such exceptional quality. Today we offer some 30 gemstones exclusively from 20 different countries including Australia, Africa, Brazil, Turkey, Iraq, India, Pakistan, China and Poland. Our silver artisans are located mostly within small inland villages in Bali, Indonesia. LotusMoon's jewellery design work is of increasingly New Zealand origin and for which we owe thanks to family and friends and all the other supporters who helped us along the way.

It has become important for us to identify our vision and we have become really excited with recent developments in social media including facebook, twitter and the mobile internet which will help us make this possible.
